Where to start

Planoly opens on Calendar: your posts in the left panel, the calendar on the right. Here is the order to work through it.

1. Connect a channel

Your channels are the bubbles in the top right. Select one and choose how it works:

• Link Account signs in to the platform so Planoly can publish for you.
• Enable Reminder-Only adds the channel without signing in. Planoly plans the post and notifies you to publish it yourself.

Start with the accounts you post to most. You can add the rest at any time.

• Connect a social channel to Planner

• Reminder-only, linked, and deleted channels

2. Get your bearings

The left sidebar takes you to Calendar, Media Library, Discover, Keywords & Captions, and Analytics. On the Calendar page, the panel on the left switches between Instagram grid view, List view, and Gallery view.

3. Put your ideas somewhere

Before you write a single caption, get the raw material in.

• Upload photos and videos into the media library so they are ready when you need them.
• Add a calendar note to a date to hold an idea, a launch, or a key moment.
• Drop a placeholder on your Instagram grid to hold a slot you have no content for yet.
• Check content trends on the calendar when you need a starting point.

4. Make the first post

Select Create Post, add your channels, add media, write the caption, pick a time, and schedule it.

5. Fill the rest of the month faster

The caret next to Create Post holds Upload media, Placeholder, Bulk create, and Generate ideas.

• Duplicate a post instead of rebuilding one.
• Drag posts onto the calendar to set or move their dates.
• Plan your Instagram grid if the layout matters to you.

6. See what happened

• Use analytics for Instagram and Pinterest performance.
• Use Plan Report to send your plan to a client or a teammate as a link.
• Manage team members if someone else works on the account.

On your phone

The Planoly app plans and schedules the same content, and it is where your reminders arrive.
