Plan and post to X

Planoly plans your X posts and reminds you when they are due. It does not publish them for you.

Add X to your workspace

1. Open Calendar and find the channel bubbles in the top right.
2. Select the X bubble. If it is not in the row, select + to see the rest.
3. Choose Enable Reminder-Only.

X has no Link Account option. That option appears only for channels Planoly can publish to, and X is not one of them. See Auto-post vs. reminder for what each method does.

A workspace holds one X channel. Choosing Enable Reminder-Only again reuses the channel that is already there.

A reminder-only channel is not signed in to X, so the bubble shows the X glyph with a bell badge rather than your profile picture.

Plan a post for X

1. Select Create Post.
2. Select Click to add your channels and pick X.
3. Add your media and write your caption.
4. Select Pick a time and choose a date and time at least 10 minutes in the future.
5. Select Schedule post.

The X tab has no Posting method control. Every X post is a reminder.

When the post is due, Planoly notifies you and hands you the media and caption. Schedule reminders and post manually walks through publishing from the mobile app and marking the post as posted.

What an X post can carry

X has one post type, Feed Post.

• Up to 4 media items. Planoly stops you scheduling a fifth.
• Images or video.
• A caption, counted against 280 characters.
• Media is optional. A caption on its own is a post.

The media count is the only rule Planoly enforces on an X post. You publish it by hand, so the file checks that apply to auto-post channels are skipped. The X row in Media requirements for auto-post lists the file figures Planoly holds for X, for reference.

What Planoly does not do on X

• Auto-post. There is no way to switch an X channel out of reminder mode.
• Analytics. Planoly reports on Instagram and Pinterest only.
• Location tags, user tags, product tags, and first comments. None of these appear on the X tab.
