Use Planoly on the mobile app

The mobile app covers planning, creating, scheduling, and reviewing your content, and it manages workspaces, team members, and channel connections too.

Get the app

Install Planoly from the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android, then sign in with your Planoly account.

The tab bar

Four tabs sit along the bottom, with a + button in the middle.

• Posts — your main planning view.
• Calendar — scheduled and published posts by date.
• + — create a post, a placeholder, or add media.
• Media — your media library, folders, notes, and links.
• Profile — account settings, notifications, billing, and integrations.

The top of the Posts screen

Your workspace's avatar sits in the top left. Tap it to open the Workspace sheet. It shows a Needs attention section for any channel that has a problem, the channels in the active workspace as avatars, and your other workspaces below. Tap Manage in the top right to edit the workspace.

A channel avatar carries a bell overlay when it is reminder-only and an amber warning triangle when it needs attention.

Filter what you see

Tap the sliders icon in the top right to open View settings.

• Post statuses — All posts, Draft, Scheduled, Published, or Failed.
• Channels — all channels or one in particular.
• View with Planoly status icons — show or hide status badges on thumbnails.
• Show status text — show or hide the wording on those badges.

Reset clears your choices. Done applies them.

Post views

The switcher at the top of the Posts screen offers three views.

• Grid view — a visual Instagram grid, with Grid, Reels, and Stories sub-tabs. Tap any post to edit it. Placeholders and drafts appear alongside scheduled and published posts.
• List view — every post in a chronological list with its status badge, channel icons, time, caption preview, and thumbnail.
• Card view — a two-column layout for a broader visual overview. Tablets show three columns.

Create a post

Tap + and choose one of three options:

• Media — add photos or videos from a source.
• Placeholder — reserve a spot in your grid without media.
• Post — open the post builder.

1. Pick your channels

Your channels appear at the top of the post builder. Tap one to add or remove it. Channels are grouped as My linked channels and More channels (Reminder only).

2. Add media

Tap the media area to open Choose source:

• From library — your Planoly media library.
• Camera roll — your device's photos and videos.
• Camera — take a new photo or video.
• Stock media — free stock content from Dupe.
• Dropbox
• Google Drive

How many items a post takes depends on the channel and format. An Instagram grid post takes 10, LinkedIn and Threads take 20, a TikTok photo carousel takes 35, and X takes 4. Reels, Stories, pins, and YouTube videos take one file each.

3. Write your caption

Tap Write a caption…. Two icons sit below the field:

• The AI caption writer icon generates a caption for you.
• The Hashtag manager icon inserts a saved set from your Keywords & Captions library.

4. Add post details

A toolbar under the caption carries the options each channel supports. On Instagram that includes Add location, Tag people, Tag products, First comment, Cover photo, Exclude from main grid, and Feature on creator store. You can tag up to 20 people per photo and invite up to 3 collaborators.

Other channels show their own tools. YouTube has Video title, Visibility, and Notify subscribers.

5. Customize per channel

Tap an individual channel at the top to edit that channel's caption and options on their own. Applied to all channels shows when your content is in sync. When it is not, Apply to all channels copies it across.

6. Fix any issues

If a channel has a problem, a red count badge appears on its pill and an amber error pill appears in the footer. Tap the footer pill to open Issues to fix, which lists what needs attention.

Schedule the post

Two buttons sit at the bottom: Save draft and Schedule.

Under Posting method, choose Reminder or Auto-post for each channel. Reminder sends a push notification at the scheduled time so you can post by hand. Auto-post publishes for you and is available on linked channels that support it.

Tapping Schedule opens the scheduling sheet:

1. Tap a date on the calendar.
2. Set a Time.
3. Optionally tap Set up under Quick schedule · best times to configure your best times to post.
4. Choose Schedule all to use one time everywhere, or Customize per channel to set them separately.
5. Tap Confirm schedule.

Unschedule clears a time you already set.

The Calendar tab

The Calendar tab shows a mini calendar at the top and a day-by-day feed below it. Tap a date to jump to it. Each entry shows the time, channel, caption preview, and thumbnail. Notes, including recurring ones, and Planoly's social-calendar trend cards appear alongside scheduled posts.

The Media tab

Your media library holds saved media, folders, notes, and links.

Three chips sit above the content: a filter chip (All, Folders, Media, Notes, Links), a sort chip, and a view chip (List, Gallery, Grid). Use the search icon in the top right to search the library.

Tap the button in the bottom right to open Add to library:

• Camera roll
• Camera
• Stock media
• Dropbox
• Google Drive
• Group photos
• Write a note
• Paste a link
• New folder

Stock media from Dupe

Planoly includes a free stock library through Dupe. The first time you open it, accept the terms with I accept.

Then you can search photos and videos by keyword, browse the categories Dupe offers, filter by photo or video, and select up to 20 items at a time.

Profile and settings

The Profile tab opens with your name, email, and a Member of N workspaces row that lists every workspace you belong to.

Preferences

• Notifications — push and email settings grouped as Publishing, Collaboration, and Account. Categories include Post Reminders, Teamwork Communication, Account Health, Billing, and Planoly Updates & News.
• Hashtags — your saved Keywords & Captions sets, up to 30 hashtags per set. Tap Add set to create one.
• Billing — your payment method, invoices, and billing details. Subscriptions bought through Apple are managed in the App Store instead.

Integrations — set up the Planoly MCP for Claude or ChatGPT.

Help — Knowledge base and Contact support.

About — rate the app, and follow Planoly on Instagram and Pinterest.

Legal — Terms of use and Privacy Policy.

Notes

• X cannot auto-post. Add it to a post and Planoly sends you a reminder at the scheduled time so you can publish in the app yourself. Every other channel, Threads included, can auto-post once it is linked.
• To see a channel's connection status, tap Manage in the Workspace sheet and open a workspace. Each channel row shows its status under the name — Reminder-only, or Needs refresh in red. Tap the three-dot menu beside it to reconnect.
