On this page

Invite people to a workspace so they can create and schedule posts with you. Only the workspace owner can send or revoke invitations.

Invite someone on the web

  1. Open Account > Manage workspaces.
  2. Find the workspace you want and select Settings.
  3. Under Team members, select Invite.
  4. Enter their email address and select Send Invite.
The number in the Team members heading counts people in this workspace; the 1 of 2 beside it counts seats used against your plan's limit. Invite sits at the end of the same row.
The form takes the place of the Invite button. Send Invite stays inactive until the field holds a valid email address, and Cancel closes the form.

Planoly emails them a link to join. They do not need a Planoly account first. The invite page offers Sign up for anyone who does not have one.

The invitation expires 14 days after you send it. Until it is accepted it appears under Pending invites, where you can revoke it.

Invite someone in the mobile app

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Select Member of ... workspaces.
  3. Open the workspace you want.
  4. Under Team members, select Invite team member.
  5. Enter their email address and select Send invite.

How user seats are counted

Your plan sets how many people can be in your workspaces, and you count as one of them: 1 seat on Starter, so no teammates; 2 on Growth, you plus one; 6 on Pro, you plus five. Growth and Pro can buy extra seats as an add-on.

Seats count unique people across every workspace you own. Adding the same person to two workspaces uses one seat. Pending invitations hold a seat until they are accepted or revoked.

When you reach the limit, the invite button is replaced by Upgrade. Remove a member or an unaccepted invitation to free a seat.

What a team member can do

A team member gets access only to the workspace they were added to. They do not see your other workspaces.

Members can read the workspace and its member list, and create and schedule posts. Renaming the workspace, deleting it, inviting people, and removing people are limited to the owner.

Billing belongs to the account owner. The plan limits and paid features of a workspace come from the owner's subscription, so members cannot change the plan.

Remove a member

  1. Open Account > Manage workspaces.
  2. Select Settings on the workspace.
  3. Find the person under Team members and select the remove icon.
  4. Confirm with Remove.

They lose access to that workspace's content right away.
