Find content trends on your calendar

Find Planoly's trend entries on your calendar, open one for its details and hashtags, and control which event categories show.

Planoly publishes trend entries onto your planning calendar alongside holidays and other social events.

Spot a trend on the calendar

Trend entries render inline with the day number, in blue, labelled Trends next to the Planoly mark. Holidays and other events render as full-width bars in their category colour.

Open a trend

Select the entry. The detail panel shows:

  • the trend title and its category badge
  • the details, with an image where one is supplied
  • suggested hashtags, with a copy button
  • Manage, which opens your calendar event settings
  • a call to action that opens the trend's full write-up in a new tab

Choose which events appear

  1. Select the gear on the calendar toolbar, then Social Events.
  2. In Social calendar settings, turn calendar types and their categories on or off, then select Save.
Each calendar type carries its own set of categories, so turning off Holidays under US leaves Global holidays alone.

The choice is saved for the workspace, so everyone working in it sees the same calendar.

Turn a trend into a post

Copy the hashtags from the detail panel, then select Create Post and paste them into the caption. For a full brief rather than a hashtag list, use the Idea Generator.
