Set your timezone

Planoly has no timezone setting. The calendar, the scheduler, and every date you see are read from the device you are using, so Planoly follows your computer's or phone's clock.

Check which timezone Planoly is reading

Open a post and select the scheduled time. The time picker prints the timezone name under the time field, written as a region and city, such as America/New York.

Change it

Change the timezone in your device's date and time settings, then reload Planoly in your browser. The planner reads the timezone once when the page loads, so an open tab keeps showing the old zone until you refresh it.

Changing timezone does not move a scheduled post

A schedule is stored as a fixed moment. Change your device timezone and the calendar relabels existing posts to the new zone. Each one still publishes at the same moment it was going to publish before.

Quick Schedule keeps its own timezone

Quick Schedule slots are weekly wall-clock times, so they are pinned to one zone. The first time you open the slots dialog, Planoly records your device timezone for the workspace and keeps it. A slot set for 9:00 stays at 9:00 in that recorded zone even after you move somewhere else.

The line at the bottom of the slots dialog reads from your device, so after a move it can name a different zone than the one your slots are using.

In the mobile app

The app reads the device timezone the same way. Change it in your phone's date and time settings.
