Connect your social accounts

Before you can schedule to a channel, add it to a workspace. Planoly supports eight platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Pinterest.

Link a channel

1. Open the account menu at the bottom of the left sidebar and select Manage workspaces.
2. Find the workspace you want to add the channel to.
3. In its Channels column, select the platform bubble you want to add.
4. Choose Link Account for auto-posting, or Enable Reminder-Only to plan the post and publish it by hand.
5. Follow the platform's sign-in prompts and grant Planoly access.

You can also select any channel bubble in the top right of the app to reach the same menu.

Once the channel is linked, its icon appears in the top bar and you can select it when creating a post.

What each platform publishes

Instagram

Auto-posts posts and carousels, Reels, and Stories. Captions run to 2,200 characters, and a grid post takes up to 10 media items.

Linking Instagram through Facebook is a separate, optional step. Tagging locations, users, collaborators, and products, and Instagram analytics, all need an Instagram account linked to a Facebook Business page.

Facebook

Connect a Facebook Page, not a personal profile. Planoly asks you to pick the Page during sign-in. Auto-posts Page posts, Reels, and Stories. Page post captions run to 10,000 characters; Reel captions run to 1,500.

TikTok

Auto-posts videos and photo carousels. A video takes one file and a 2,200-character caption. A photo carousel takes up to 35 images and a 4,000-character caption. TikTok allows 5 hashtags per post, fewer than every other platform.

LinkedIn

Connect your personal profile or any Company Page you administer. Planoly lists both during sign-in. Auto-posts page posts with up to 20 media items and a 3,000-character caption.

Pinterest

Auto-posts pins. A pin takes one image or video, a board, and a description of up to 800 characters.

YouTube

Connect a YouTube channel through your Google account and pick the channel during sign-in. Auto-posts videos and Shorts, each with a 5,000-character description.

Threads

Sign in through Threads. Auto-posts with up to 20 media items and a 500-character caption.

X

Reminder-only. A post takes up to 4 media items and 280 characters.

Reconnect a channel

A connection can break when you change your password, revoke permissions, or lose admin access to a Page. Planoly flags the channel in the top bar.

1. Select the channel bubble.
2. Choose Refresh Channel Connection.
3. Sign in to the platform again.

Unlink or delete a channel

Select the channel bubble, then choose one:

• Unlink Account keeps every post and converts the channel to reminder-only. Anything scheduled to auto-post becomes a reminder notification.
• Delete removes all content and data for that channel. It cannot be recovered. Only the workspace's owner sees this option.

Deleting asks you to confirm first.
