Link and auto-post to TikTok

TikTok auto-posts from both the web app and the mobile app.

Link TikTok

1. Select the TikTok bubble in the channel icons at the top of the app, or find it in the workspace's Channels column under Manage workspaces.
2. Choose Link Account.
3. Sign in to TikTok and grant Planoly access.

Schedule a TikTok post

1. Select Create Post, then add TikTok to the post.
2. Upload your media. Planoly picks the post type from what you upload: one video makes a video post, and images make a photo carousel.
3. Write your caption. Videos allow 2,200 characters, photo carousels allow 4,000.
4. For a photo carousel, add a Title. It is required and can run to 90 characters.
5. Set the options you want. See below.
6. Under Posting method, choose Auto-post.
7. Pick a date and time, then schedule the post.

Scheduled posts show a Scheduled badge in your grid and list views. Posts set to auto-post carry a send glyph instead of the clock.

TikTok options

• Privacy — choose Public, Friends only, Followers, or Private.
• Branded content — set the disclosure to Not Promoting A Brand, Brand Promotion, or Paid Partnership.
• Disable comments — turn this on to close commenting on the post.
• Add trending sound — opens TikTok's Commercial Music Library so you can pick a sound. Auto-post only. On a photo carousel you can also choose Let TikTok choose, which lets TikTok pick a trending sound for you.

In reminder mode the sound picker becomes a plain text field where you note the song name and artist for yourself.

Limits

• Video: one file, 2,200-character caption.
• Photo carousel: up to 35 images, 4,000-character caption, required title.
• 5 hashtags per post. Every other platform allows 30.

Can I create a TikTok photo carousel in Planoly?

Yes. Upload images instead of a video and Planoly builds a photo carousel.

Can I choose a cover photo?

Not from the app. There is no cover picker in the web or mobile post builder.

Can I customize the post for other channels in the same post?

Yes. Add the other channels to the same post and select each channel's tab to write a different caption, swap the media, or set its own options. Under scheduling, Customize per channel also lets each channel go out at its own time.

What can TikTok not do through Planoly?

Overlay text, stickers, and filters are not supported. Add those in TikTok.
