Link and auto-post to Pinterest

Pinterest auto-posts from both the web app and the mobile app.

Link Pinterest

1. Select the Pinterest bubble in the channel icons at the top of the app, or find it in the workspace's Channels column under Manage workspaces.
2. Choose Link Account.
3. Sign in to Pinterest and grant Planoly access. Planoly redirects you to Pinterest and back, so the page you were on reloads when you return.

The Pinterest icon appears with your account in the top bar once it is linked.

Schedule a pin

1. Select Create Post, then add Pinterest to the post.
2. Upload one image or video. A pin takes a single file.
3. Choose a Board. This is the only required Pinterest field.
4. Write your pin description, up to 800 characters.
5. Add a Pin title and a Destination link if you want them. Both are optional.
6. Under Posting method, choose Auto-post.
7. Pick a date and time, then schedule the post.

What Pinterest supports

Included:

• One image or one video per pin.
• Auto-post or reminder scheduling.
• A required board, plus an optional title and destination link.

Not included:

• Carousels.
• Product tagging.
• Posting one pin to several boards.
• Creating a new board from Planoly. Create it in Pinterest first, and it appears in the board list.

Format requirements

Images:

• .jpg, .png, .tiff, or .webp.
• Up to 20 MB.

Videos:

• .mov, .mp4, or .m4v.
• Up to 300 MB.
• Between 4 seconds and 15 minutes.
• Aspect ratio 1:1, 1:2, 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, or 9:16.

Text:

• Description up to 800 characters.
• Title up to 100 characters.
• Up to 30 hashtags.

Schedule a pin at least 10 minutes in the future.
