Use the CRM email editor for workflows and broadcasts

Build a workflow or broadcast email from a template, edit the text, add blocks, and preview it before you send.

The email editor is where you design and customize emails for both Workflows and Broadcasts.

Where you'll use the email editor

Workflows are automated emails triggered by actions, like a purchase.

A workflow email opens with the Flow Setup panel, where you set the timing and subject for each email in the sequence.

Broadcasts are one-time emails sent to a selected audience.

A broadcast opens with the Broadcast Setup panel, where you pick the recipients and the subject.

In both cases, the editor works the same way.

Choose a template

When creating an email, you'll start by selecting a template.

Each template is a different starting layout, including a Custom Email option.

Templates are pre-designed layouts that give you a starting structure. You can fully customize them, so choose the one that's closest to what you need.

Edit your content

Click directly into any text block to:

  • Update wording
  • Personalize messaging
  • Replace placeholder text

You can also update images or buttons by clicking on them.

Add or rearrange blocks

You can build your email by adding blocks such as:

  • Text
  • Images
  • Buttons
  • Dividers
  • Layouts (pre-built design sections)
The plus button above a block adds a new block in that position, and the icons beside the block edit, duplicate, delete, or drag it.
The block picker lists every block type you can drop into the email.

Use layouts if you want quick design options like image and text or multi-image sections.

Blocks can be duplicated, moved, or deleted to fit your message.

Preview and send

Before sending, preview your email to see how it looks on:

  • Desktop
  • Mobile

Once everything looks good, you can:

  • Save as a draft
  • Send a test email
  • Publish your workflow or send your broadcast
