Life has a tendency to get…messy. It feels as though we’re always attempting to get back on track and make sure all of our ducks are in a row. Our lives are chaotic by nature, but you can always simplify things to make it more manageable! We’ve narrowed down these three easy tips to help you simplify and thrive.
Everything feels simpler when things are clean and less cluttered. Whether it be your desk, car, bathroom, closet, or mind – clear it out and be free. Start by throwing away or donating things you don’t need anymore (if you haven’t worn it in 6 months…toss it), and once you’ve cleared space, it’ll be much easier to organize everything. Minimalism is bae.
Surprise, surprise! Your life will be simpler by choosing to do less. This is NOT easy for most people, as we always want to say yes to every request and opportunity that comes our way. However, it can make a world of a difference. If you want to feel less chaotic in your schedule, then learning how to say ‘no’ is a crucial first step. Start by making sure you have two evenings a week to do nothing but chillax. You might find that you’re more present for the things you have decided to commit to in your schedule.
Make a Plan
Winging it can be fun if you’re deciding where to go for drinks, but when it comes to your day-to-day, it’s always better to have a plan. We’re firm believers in writing things down and making lists. Beck Wadworth of An Organised Life wrote this fantastic article about how to write a list you’ll actually complete. We recommend turning Sunday into your ‘Rest and Plan’ day, that way you’ll go into the week organized and prepared. Plan out your meals, outfits, meetings, social obligations and any other important tasks that need to get done. You’ll feel a weight lifted and your life will be simplified right before your eyes!
